Role Overview
As a QAE-II, you will own the quality of specific modules, define test strategies, and work closely with engineering, product, and support teams. You’ll be responsible for writing and executing test cases, driving regression cycles, and ensuring that edge cases are caught before release. You’ll also contribute to test process improvements and may assist with automation coverage where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for assigned features or modules
- Design and execute test scenarios — functional, regression, UI/UX, and API
- Maintain and optimize test documentation, test case libraries, and bug reports
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce bugs, validate fixes, and perform exploratory testing
- Conduct smoke/sanity testing in CI environments and during release deployments
- Work closely with product managers to validate requirements and user flows
- Suggest improvements in testing workflows, edge case handling, or QA tooling
- Optionally contribute to writing basic automated test scripts if experienced
Requirements
Must-Have:
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in software testing
- Strong knowledge of testing types: functional, regression, API, UI/UX
- Solid bug-reporting and test case writing skills using tools like Jira, AIO, or Zephyr
- Familiarity with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools
- Ability to understand web app architecture and test accordingly
- Clear communication, ownership mindset, and attention to detail
Good to Have:
- Experience working in Agile environments or CI/CD pipelines
- Exposure to test automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)
- Basic scripting knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
- Experience in testing B2B SaaS, workflow tools, or construction tech platforms
